Western Canada Collie Rescue (WCCR) is operated by volunteers. We rely entirely on monetary donations to operate. Every collie that comes into our care is assessed and provided with appropriate care as needed eg: veterinary care, behavioural assessment, grooming and nutrition.  WCCR is a registered charity with Canada Revenue Agency, under the Income Tax Act.

Volunteering

Volunteering to work directly with the rescue dogs is a most rewarding experience. We are always looking for volunteers for:  

• Foster Care: provide a safe, stable, caring home for a collie. The goal is to assess each dog and build good house manners and social skills as needed. 

• Grooming: provide gentle, compassionate grooming for collies. 

• Transport: assist with pick up from shelters, surrendering owners, vet appointments etc.
