Damon is a 14-month old neutered male rough coated sable collie.    He is an intelligent, curious, exuberant and affectionate teenager who loves to be with his person and tries hard to please.  He loves to give nice little kisses to people he meets and feels comfortable with.   He walks well on leash, knows his name, and has learned basic commands like ‘no’, and ‘sit’.   He is learning to shake a paw.  He is highly trainable and food motivated.

As Damon has not lived in a house prior to coming into rescue, he is learning house and doggie etiquette in his foster home.  He has quickly learned to let his foster mom know when he needs to go out.  He has no issues with loud noises but is hesitant in getting into vehicles.  This may be due to the lack of experience of riding in a car before which he will quickly learn once he has adjusted to the life of a companion pet.  He does not like to go into small spaces likely because it reminds him of the garage/storage that he used to live in.   

The perfect home for Damon is one where he is the only dog so that he will have undivided attention from his humans.  As he is an exuberant teenager who still needs to be taught manners and boundaries, he would fit a family without very young children. 

With his sweet personality, Damon will make an awesome companion pet for the right family.
