 How to adopt

Angel will be 4 years old in August and is a sable headed white collie.  She has a few sable patches on her body.  At a vet appointment at the beginning of July, she weighed less than 50 pounds.

Angel is a beautiful collie who loves to be with her people. She follows her foster mom around the house and yard and is never far from her foster mom.  Angel has a very happy go lucky kind of personality and tries hard to please her foster mom.  Angel could use some training. She is a quick learner and is very food motivated.  She has a soft mouth, will sit for treats and for her meals.  Angel likes to play with other big dogs (although she can be rough sometimes). When she gets excited she will bark, but she is fairly quiet in the house. Angel tells her foster mom just how happy she is to see her when her foster mom comes home from work.  Angel has the cutest grunts and groans when she is settling in for the night or for a nap.  She likes to be petted and brushed and will give kisses in return.  Angel is always very happy to meet new dogs and new people.  Walks are very important to this little girl - so many people meet, dogs to greet and things to smell! Angel is very active and would likely do well in agility.

During May and June of this year, Angel was spayed, shots brought up to date and dental work was done.  She is crate trained and will go in readily if there is food involved.

As Angel has not been around young children, her foster mom thinks it would be better that she not go to a family with young children or small dogs.  With some time and supervision, she will likely be good around cats.  Angel would likely do very well as a single dog.
