Honey was rescued by the SPCA from a puppy mill. She
has been in our care for a couple of months now, and her socialization
has progressed well, with her adapting to living in a house, in the
city. She is great with other dogs, but her play can sometimes be a bit
rough. She would do well in a home with another dog, preferably a male,
who likes to play. However, once her confidence is a little better
established, she may do very well as a solo dog in a home where she gets
lots of love and attention. She will need to be in a home with a
securely fenced yard.
Honey loves going on her walks and she
seldom pulls on her leash (unless spooked by something). Honey is
learning to trust humans but it may be a while before she is really
comfortable. She would do well in a home where someone is there most of
the day as she does get bored easily when left all day. She is a
curious little girl, very sweet and loves to give kisses on your hands
as you brush her. Honey has a beautiful thick, wavy coat. She likes to
be brushed gently and petted. Honey has come a long way since coming
into rescue - thanks to the care she is receiving from her very
experienced foster Mom. She has been spayed and is up to date on all
inoculations.
